Work on volume replication started in Icehouse following discussions in HK. A blueprint (https://blueprints.launchpad.net/cinder/+spec/volume-mirroring) and code (https://review.openstack.org/#/c/64026/) were discussed and reviewed, but some questions have been raised toward the end of the development cycle, so it was decided to iron-out the issues at the Juno summit.
