Replace Launchpad OpenID authentication:
In the Icehouse release cycle we implented the openstackid project that delivers an OpenID authentication mechanism based on openstack.org membership data. The initial plan was to replace Launchpad OpenID with this solution so it can affect all related sites including Gerrit and other infrastructure components. The community portal is a pilot for openstackid integration, and I want to share our experiences. We also identified some areas where we need to improve the solution if we want to deliver a proper user experience for developers and end-users.
